"Show Me The Moon"
Show Me The Moon

So did we really land on the moon? It was actually a question going around as the flights to the moon were winding down in the middle 1970's. After all, who could trust the government with Nixon in office? And Hollywood could produce some very convincing special affects.

So I thought I'd clear things up. I wanted to create a Hollywood moon set during the commercial break. This was my second attempt at staging actors for a painting. Photographed at my apartment at Ball State, it was announced as a party - to insure everyone showed up! Again, I brought my best friends to help me brainstorm out the acting on the set. To the left are some the photographs used for the painting. And there I am, in the latest '70 fashion saluting the flag!

The largest canvas for me to date, the painting took 6 months to complete.

A patriot and "plad" of it!
